Well, I made a video expressing how I feel about Gary Ross not returning to direct Catching Fire. I also spoke about how, whether he realizes or not, he changed my life and affected my life in so many ways. I hope that he gets to see this video. I will always be thankful to Gary for bringing the wonderful book that THG is to life. Jennifer and Josh were right and I believed them when they said that the movie was made BY fans for fans. The film backed up their claims. I know Gary Ross left because he felt like he couldn’t commit to such a short time frame to create and bring to life the vision that he has/had for Catching Fire. Whoever decides to step up and direct Catching Fire, if you’re reading this, just know that I hope the odds are ever in your favor and that you have some pretty big shoes to fill.
Gary Ross set the bar of expectations really high and I just hope that the next person up for director is ready and up for the challenge. Thank you Gary Ross for, as I said before, bringing the wonderful book that is THG to life. The first words out of my mouth after seeing the movie at the world premiere in Los Angeles last month were, “Gary Ross is a genius”. and if you ever read this or see my video Gary Ross, thank you. I just don’t know what else to say. I mean I am pretty bummed out that he won’t be returning but I understand his reasons. All I can say is that I hope jhe returns for Mockingjay. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
GARY ROSS IT BOSS! So, therefore, he can only direct Catching Fire. We love you, Mr. Ross! We just can’t afford to think about a Hunger Games movie with out you!! Here is my video and I hope everyone enjoys it(:
I can’t believe Gary Ross might no do Catching Fire! His work on Hunger Games was so phenomenal and true to the book. Having a fan in charge of the movies is truly any fandom’s dream.
