I’m just gonna say exactly what I said on tumblr. The thing is, it’s hard to find a loving and caring director such as Gary. He spoke highly of all the actors. He respected the extras. He admired everyone who worked on set, from the make up artists to the lighting members. He cares about the story, about the real message. He knew how to capture it correctly, how to keep the essence of Katniss’ point of view in the movie without making it look weird. He made one of the best movie book adaptations I’ve ever seen, and I’m worried that we won’t get a director as humble and true as him for Catching Fire. He will be missed, by the cast, and fandom. I read the Hunger games trilogy back in March/April 2011 and I found out about the movie around that time as well. I became obsessed with everything. I would look up cast, watch all their past interviews, watch movies they’d previously been in, etc. Your cast was perfection. Before the movie I wondered how they would deliver their performances, but after the first trailer even, I was able to see that you made the perfect casting choices. I never doubted you from the beginning. Also I’ve talked to people who have been extras and said you have been nothing but kind and passionate. You seem just as much of a fan as all of us! I really just want to say thank you. For everything. I cant imagine another director taking your place, but whoever they do choose, I hope they’ll be able to be half as amazing as you have been. Gary Ross. Thank you. The Hunger Games is my favorite series. I love it so much because of what it is about. It is about standing up for and fighting for what is right. What would you do to survive? What is important to you? What would you fight for? That’s what it’s all about. That’s what makes me love the series so much. It’s amazing. and I want to just thank you with all my heart for doing such a fantastic job. Just thank you for making a great movie. The Hunger Games means so much to me and seeing it on the big screen…it was magical. Gary Ross, you are the man! Like a tribute(;! *three finger symbol*

Gary,supiste adaptar a la perfección y con madurez el primer libro de la franquicia. Ojala pudieras quedarte, nosotros podemos esperar un año, dos o tres hasta que se estrena catching fire. Dear Gary Ross,
Thank you for having the guts to fight for the overall style of the film. Yes, especially the shaky cam. It elevated to a whole new level what is possible of a blockbuster. Quality need not be sacrificed for a successful opening.

Gary Ross has made a stunning job in making The Hunger Games film. It’s very popular now because of the absolutely amazing job done. The cast, music scores, script, everything is great about the film. It’s one of the most epic films in the history of filmography.
